In Commonweal: On Bishops and Legal Briefs

I’m published today in Commonweal Magazine! In “Taking Freedom Too Far,” I critique the legal briefing submitted by the U. S. Conference of Catholic Bishops in the recently-decided Bostock case. I argue that the brief fragments Catholic moral theology, casts aside vulnerable gay persons, and misrepresents the Catholic vision of freedom. You can read the piece here.
